New York’s Chinatown in the 1970s


These photographs by Robert Iulo show New York’s Chinatown – which has the highest concentration of Chinese people in the Western Hemisphere – in the 1970s.  Situated in the south of Manhattan with an estimated population of about 100,000 people, Chinatown is also one of the oldest Chinese ethnic enclaves.
