Influencers are flocking to this stunning stretch of beach on Fuerteventura, the Canary Islands, where the sand looks like popcorn. Exactly like it.

Located in Corralejo, a town on the north-eastern tip of the island, the place is known as Popcorn Beach or Popcorn Bay. And with a reason too. The coastline that looks like it’s paved with with the white stuff we all like so much.
Contrary to what some of these photos taken by Instagrammers suggest, the taste is a bit rough though. The small, pop corn-like fragments are actually pieces of white coral that have washed ashore.
Mixed with the volcanic rocks and sand on the beach, the coastline looks like a delicious sweet and salty combination of popcorn and black pepper – but we don’t advise you to take a bite!
