Owl Captures Child’s Stick Horse and Carries It Around Town

A young and playful owl stole a child’s stick horse (also called a hobby horse) and flew it around a neighborhood in Eureka, Illinois.

And somebody was lucky enough to capture him on video! Look at that…

“For those of you questioning if the owl is hurt or “entangled” in the stick horse….we have no reason to believe this is the case as we witnessed the owl moving the horse around and even changing it’s grip on it at one point,” Eric Lind, the local resident who shot the video, wrote on Facebook.

“This owl is part of a family of owls that have been in the neighborhood for about 6 months now, and this is one of the young owls. If someone sees that the owl is in danger or believes it is hurt, I’m sure the proper authorities would be contacted,” he added.

If no one else, that poor stick horse is definitely in danger. And a sad kid is missing it…

Indeed, Lind wrote:

“Hilldale/Forest Park/Ridge lane neighbors…if your child is missing their stick horse, you’ll have to talk to the owl!!”

Apparently, owls don’t only ride stick horses but other toy horses too. Let’s hope this one won’t be missed by a kid.
