One theory about the origin of the name ‘Europe’ is that it means ‘sunset’ (Asia, by the same token, means ‘sunrise’). So apparently we have a sunset map of sunset-land here (click to enlarge). The shadows on this map were produced using a combination of Copernicus EU-DEM digital elevation layers (funded by the EU) and the CGIAR-CSI SRTM 90m Database (most probably an alien base, judging by the name).
