This hilarious piece of Irish anti-Ireland propaganda appeared in the Dublin Opinion in 1941. It is a rather understandable reaction in the light of Operation Green, a full-scale operations plan for a Nazi German invasion of Ireland in support of Operation Sea Lion, the invasion of the UK, during WW II. Despite its detailed nature, Operation Green is thought to have been designed only as a credible threat, a feint, not an actual operation.
