Archaeologists are really digging Crossrail, as the construction of London’s new railway line has unexpectedly turned into Britain’s largest archaeological project. During its six-year tunnelling through the city centre – something archaeologists would have never been able to do – over 10,000 artifacts have been discovered across some 30 sites.
